Tuesday saw the Laguna offices reduced to skeleton staff as we celebrated our annual and much anticipated Christmas party. There is quite a rich tradition to this event, it goes back 24 years and offers our team the perfect opportunity to get together, forget the work for one day, and have a fabulous party in true Aussie style.
If you saw a group of people gathered on a islet on the stunning waters of the Noosa River, I hope you waved! We were certainly merrily waving at all that passed us by.
The Laguna Christmas party involves great food, including oysters, prawns, crab and lobster,
Champagne, Beer, and a fantastic crew of both admin and sales staff who know how to laugh at themselves and each other. We have treasured the tradition of taking a couple boats with supplies out on the river for a day of festive celebration. As the company has grown, the size of the boat and the number of eskies has grown too. Faces have changed over the years, but the party is an institution where we can get to know each other better, swim, eat, and play!
On the note of Christmas merriment, with the silly season in full swing, I want to remind everyone to keep safe on the roads! Noosa is a special place, with a diverse range of territories often across large distances. Driving after a few drinks can be the easiest, most appealing option to get home. It may be a great idea at the time, but you are taking your life and the lives of others into your not so safe hands if you choose this alternative.
Please be safe over the holiday period and book a cab or a sober friend.
