Hopefully you are all well on the way to recovering from our wild, windy and wet beginning to 2008. The inclement weather has not affected the spirits of our staff, guests, or local residents. The beauty of Noosa is that there is such an array of things to do, even in the challenging conditions – take the ferry anyway and sit upstairs, walk through the national park and watch the surfers challenge themselves and each other on the points, enjoy the cozy atmosphere of some of our finest restaurants, discover the shopping on offer, take a trip to the art galleries, markets or further afield to the hinterland villages.
We are very excited about the coming year, we are busy with enquiry and our current free summer magazine has elicited a fantastic response. Some of the most highly regarded market monitors and statisticians are indicating a great future for our region. Did you know that Sunshine Coast suburbs are ‘the ones to watch’ for high returns in the coming 12 months to 5 years.
The news has not surprised us as we have been on the frontlines of the lift in activity since July.
The reports from parliament moving to protect The Noosa town plan are also encouraging – there is a fine balance between preserving what makes this place special and unique and planning carefully so it is not choked by its own popularity!
Happy new year
