We are delighted by the news this week that one of our sales agents, Krystyna Blaszczyk, has been nominated for a community champion award. Krystyna was instrumental in implementing the Youthsail program which is so popular with the Noosa Yacht and Rowing club. Krystyna has dedicated a lot of her time to the program, which has seen more advanced youngsters trained up and paid as instructors to their younger counterparts.
The success of the program has been evident in its increasing popularity, the praise of the parents, club members, and students themselves. The confidence, patience, and sense of responsibility the kids in the program have gained is admirable. Krystyna formulated the instructors manual for the program that was simple for the children to follow, and ensured they were ‘official’ employees of the club, with a wage.
Her efforts are greatly admired and respected by all of the team at Laguna Real Estate, as we have a very strong focus on Community involvement, in keeping with our 28 years of presence in the local arena. As an agency, we have been nominated for the ‘REIQ 2008 COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD’, as well as the ‘LARGE RESIDENTIAL AGENCY OF THE YEAR’. With only five finalists in each category, we are extremely excited to be involved. The winners will be announced in one week at a black tie gala dinner at the Hilton in Brisbane. A large group of our staff are making the journey for the event, so wish us luck, let’s hope we can bring back another trophy for Noosa!
