Noosa Region Revitalised

The weather has returned to the crystal perfection that makes the April/May period one of my favourite times of year in Noosa. We enjoy cooler mornings, warm days and a water temperature averaging on 23 degrees. There is nothing quite like driving down the coastal road, the David low Way, early in the morning when the wind is still and the ocean is as smooth and as turquoise as the exotic destinations in a travel catalogue. I love to remind myself that we are the exotic destination!! As life and day to day events still occur in paradise, it can get easy to forget.

We are lucky to enjoy such diversity here in Noosa, even after 30 years as a resident and huge changes, I am still discovering new things to do, new places to show my visiting acquaintances and newly revitalized precincts to showcase to my buyers who may be unsure about where to begin when they make the transition and move to Noosa. The Noosa region is a stunning collection of small villages with differing natural beauty and lifestyle benefits. Peregian Beach has become a boutique cosmopolitan adventure with a character and atmosphere quite unique. The stunning prestige homes appearing on the beachside are adding to the appeal for families moving to the area and holidaymakers who revel in the slower pace.

The Noosaville region is also transforming, with trendy cafes and delicatessens, an organic shop as well as the popular farmer’s markets. The backdrop is the beauty of the Noosa River itself, there to be enjoyed from the fishing to the swimming. We are seeing some fabulous stock in this area come on the market, especially in the area of units and large luxury apartments. The low maintenance lifestyle is increasingly embraced by both the designers and the buyers, who understand the fundamental qualities that make great architecture also make great day to day quality living. Nearby, Noosa Waters is a highly popular suburb with some spectacular luxury homes – we have some great waterfront buying here at the moment which will appeal to many who love the central location and close proximity to private schools, hospital, shopping centre and beach.

The hinterland precincts have a renewed energy and vigour. As you take the drive to Eumundi, the stunning greenery of the landscape offers justification for the huge popularity of the “treechange”. The villages of Cooroy and Eumundi are very popular with buyers for their lifestyle and proximity to the beach with affordable prices.

If you are thinking of moving to our region, I strongly suggest you acquire a good map and go for a drive! It has so much to offer, in such different ways. If you are a long time resident, I still suggest you go for a drive – whether you use the map or not there is a great array of free enjoyment to be discovered in every pocket of Noosa. Every single one of them is my favorite!!

Til next week
