The May/ June period in Noosa is generally quiet for all of our local businesses. That’s why I choose to take my holidays during this time. On my return to the office this week I was delighted to look at our holiday bookings and see an increase in our forward bookings over the June, July, September period, up by a staggering 20%! This is a fantastic outcome given the current fuel crisis and overall domestic spending pressures. The wild weather of the summer season and reports of the sand loss at Main Beach have not deterred the holidaymakers who enjoy what we have to offer in our winter season. It is actually one of the best times to visit, with an average temperature of 21 degrees – many come for extended stays with the intention to buy property whilst they are here! Indeed many of us who have moved here from elsewhere came to visit without intending to stay and never left!
Traditionally when we have strong holiday occupancy we also see strong sales – the two go hand in hand in Noosa, particularly in the popular Noosaville precinct, where a fully furnished holiday apartment can still be acquired from as low as $300 000.
The prestige waterfronts are also the source of increased interest, particularly along Noosa Sound and Noosa Waters. Our sales team work tirelessly to ensure we have a fantastic range of price and choice of architectural masterpieces for the expected lift in buyer inquiry.
If you are interested in viewing one of our properties for sale, you can call us to arrange a viewing, visit our website, http://www.lagunarealestate.com.au/ , for all of our listings online.
Incidentally, do not despair over the sand drop at Noosa’s main beach – a scenic walk around to Tea Tree Bay and Granite reveals where the sand has shifted to, it’s a delightful easy walk with exquisite beaches to enjoy.
Till next week,
Olivier
