Noosa Market ‘Springs’ Back

One of the greatest struggles in the past months has been to try to convey to buyers spooked by continuous and widespread negativity in the press the actual situation with our local property market. Statistics and median house prices can be manipulated to mean just about anything and there is a seemingly unlimited supply of ‘expert commentators ‘giving their opinion on where the market is headed. We were thrilled to finally see the positive headlines on the weekend regarding the SE market being on the upswing. We have seen it on the ground as agents here in Noosa with several suburbs performing well, investors returning due to the interest rate shift and vendors realistically pricing their properties. Indeed, whilst many reported that values would fall across the board, in many areas they continued to quietly rise, outperforming our expectations. When confounded by the array of expert advice, my suggestion is to go back to the absolute fundamentals when looking at a property purchase and carefully doing your research. We are in a market where good buys can be found, mostly as a result of all of that negativity! Our region includes one of the best performers for median house price as well as the most affordable suburb on the SunshineCoast! Noosa is a very sought after place to live, prized for its relaxed atmosphere, great lifestyle and pristine environment. As the entire SE Qld region continues to attract population, infrastructure and growth our local jewel becomes even more valuable. Weigh up where we are headed in the next several years and what we can expect as a result of that. Our prices will continue to rise as more people seek what we have to offer. For investors, Noosa and surrounding areas are solid performers with good reason! We believe the market has leveled out and is on the upswing, so I urge you to get out and have a good look now at some of the available stock – well positioned, well priced.
